Claddagh Ladies Ring: M

1 in stock

Sterling silver contemporary ladies Claddagh ring.  This new Claddagh ring incorporates all the important symbols of the traditional Claddagh but in a more contemporary design. The Claddagh is made up of two hands symbolizing friendship, a heart for love and a crown representing loyalty.

The Claddagh ring is a tradtional Irish ring which is exchanged as a token of love or often worn as a wedding ring.

The claddagh ring is made up of two hands joined together with a single heart, on top of which rest a crown. The hands joined together represent friendship and are reminissent of the European fede ring. The heart in the centre represents love while the crown represents loyalty.

Long before there was Facebook, people had the Claddagh ring to proclaim their relationship status. And like Facebook it can be changed quickly and as easily!

There are a number of ways your Claddagh ring can be worn to convey your relationship status.

Here's a short guide to how to wear your Claddagh ring so you can avoid any mixed signals!

It can be worn in four different ways, each of which has a specific meaning.

On the right hand, with the point of the heart facing towards the hand: The heart is turned in towards the wearer meaning their heart is taken and they are in a relationship.

On the right hand with the point of the heart away from the hand: The heart is turned out away from the wearer meaning their heart is open to love and they are not in a relationship.

On the left hand with the point of the heart facing the hand: the wearer is married or in a long term relationship.

On the left hand with the point of the heart away from the hand: the wearer is married but their heart is open to love!
